He likes to see people succeed together as a team. This is something he learned from playing sports when he was younger and has stayed with him ever since.
He had a Vicodin addiction due to sports injuries. He was able to overcome it with the help of friends and family. Finding his true passion helped him overcome his drug addiction.
He knew he had to do better for his family, and do better for himself.
He says, “You have to be humble, and push through. You have a great future ahead of you. Go for it! Stay Busy! Pay attention.
Pete advices that when you are starting out, be prepared financially. Because anything can happen. Don’t try to grow too fast. Also it’s important to have everything down on paper, and in contracts.
From riding a bicycle to his jobs in 2016 to making $35K in 2017 to earning$145K in 2018, his business has really taken off!
He did a lot of research about online advertising which has made a huge difference.
On advertising he says:
- Use Before and After pics.
- Use Authentic photos.
- People love close ups of detail.
Something he wished he knew back when he was just starting out is how to estimate properly.
His best advice he ever received was, “Watch and track your numbers.”

Advice to a young contractor just getting started:
- Get your numbers in order. Get a budget in mind (including your personal finances.)
- Get a daily rate established. This will make or break your business. Study your numbers, small business, and marketing.
